Welcome to the new AMC Boston Paddlers website!
Our new website design aims to move the AMC Boston Paddlers’ online presence into the future by embracing current website design patterns and technologies.
First and foremost, our new site is designed to be mobile responsive. We have tried to make the new site look just as good on your smartphone or tablet as it does on a desktop or laptop computer. We understand that more users access the web on their mobile devices than on traditional computer screens.
We have embraced the design language found on the main AMC website with clean graphics, black on white text, and visual imagery highlighting the activities that we engage in as a group. We want our members and the public to share our joy in our water-based activities and encourage new paddlers to attend our events.
We have provided a live feed from the AMC Activities database of upcoming events hosted by the Paddlers Committee. We hope you’ll find us a one-stop-shop for seeking all your paddling events.
We built a “members only” section that is available to registered users and will offer documentation on committee policies, requirements for trip leaders, committee bylaws, and other information needed by our members and leaders. If you are active in the committee or a registered trip leader we strongly recommend that you register for an account on the new site to get access to all your information needs.
Finally, we have provided a news/blog page – “The Eddy Line” – where we can provide articles of interest to our members. We plan on sharing posts on technique, equipment, paddling destinations, and trip reports from past events.
